Yum!

Macy started solid foods at 6 months old. We started with rice cereal and waited the 5 days (to ensure no allergic reaction) and then gave her sweet potatoe followed by avocado. She loves both the sweet potatoe and avocado but seems to enjoy the avocado more. Since then she's had pears, peas (not her favorite), mango, apples, and the latest as of this morning: peaches.
She is getting pretty close to crawling. Right now she is able to get on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. Looks like Daddy will be spending his next day off baby-proofing the kitchen & bathroom cabinets!

Macy cracks up at squirting rubber ducky

Aaron decided last minute to come in and watch me give Macy a bath. He grabbed one of her rubber duckies to put in her tub. It wouldn't float upright so Aaron tried to fill it partially with water. He didn't realize that there was a hole in the ducks mouth and when he sqeezed it, it squirted Macy in the face. She started laughing hysterically. This was the first time Macy laughed without us trying to make her laugh. As you can hear, Aaron and I thought it was pretty funny too!

March of Dimes

As you can see below, Macy and I will be participating in a 6 mile walk for the March of Dimes foundation in April. The March of Dimes foundation helps:
- support all-important research offering preventions and solutions for babies born too soon or with birth defects
- educate women on things they can do to increase their chances of having a healthy baby
- provide comfort and information to families with a newborn in intensive care
- push for newborn screening and health insurance for all pregnant women and children

Please do not feel obligated in any way; however, if this is a cause that you would like to support feel free to make a donation via the link in the post below. To participate in a walk in your area, visit: www.marchofdimes.com
